Welcome to my blog ! Today we will be talking about movies that I think every girl should watch. They are fun, girly and iconic.
We are starting up strong with 2000s romcom, “How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days”. In this romantic comedy, female lead Andie Anderson (played by Kate Hudson), is a writer in a publish house, with an idea to write a piece on how to get a man to leave you in 10 days. When she goes off to find a guy, she meets Ben Barry (played by Matthew McConaughey), who bet on making any available woman fall for him in 10 days. Find out what will happend next, I am sure that you will love this one !
Next movie in not a typical romcom, but it is a very cute teen movie, and let’s not forget ICONIC !
Mean Girls, movie that thousands of girls watch daily. Teenage Girl Cady Heron (Lindsay Lohan), moves from Africa to US, first time experiencing public school. There she meets two of her friends, Janis Ian (Lizzy Caplan) and Damian (Daniel Franzese), and they offer her an idea of getting a revenge on plastics (friend group of three teen popular girls) by befriending Regina (Rachel McAdams), Karen (Amanda Seyfried) and Gretchen (Lacey Chabert). But Cady starts to like hanging out with them, so will she officially become one of the plastics?
My next choice is a movie from 1995, very colorful, fun and positive !
“Clueless” is a movie about a rich highschool student Cher (Alicia Silverstone), living her best life, hanging out with her friends, going shopping, grabbing every guy’s attention, everyone likes her. So when new student comes to her highschool, Tai (Brittany Murphy), she decides to give her a makeover and help her gain popularity, while still deeling with her own problems.
The Last movie for today would be 1999’s must-watch, “10 Things I Hate About You” !
This is a movie that I watched 5 times at least, I would put it in my top 3 favourites without doubt, and it is a love story about Kat Stratford (Julia Stiles) and Patrick Verona (Heath Ledger), two very different people, but you know how they say “differences attract”. Their story is very interesting and cute, so if you are looking for a highschool romance this movie is for you !
