Hi Everyone,
Welcome to my blog ! Today I will be talking about all the essentials that you need for a new school year. I’ll separate this guide in different categories: School Supplies, Clothes, Emergency Kit and Other. So let’s begin !
School Supplies
When it comes to school supplies I like to start with buying notebooks, and I know that some schools use laptops or chrome-books, but I still like to write notes during the class on paper, I memorise them easier. That’s why I’ll write list of all supplies that you need for school, in case that your school doesn’t use laptops, like mine.

- Backpack/Bag (I recommend you to buy one that is pretty neutral, so that it can go with all of your outfits, Nike, Adidas and Northface have some like that, but it can really be any school bag that you like)
- Pencil Case (I always buy a colorful and cute one)
- Notebooks (Get different sizes for different subjects, I like to get bigger ones for Maths, Physics and Chemistry, and I get small ones for the rest)
- Pens/Pencils (Buy more than one incase that someone needs it, or if you lose one, and for pens I like to get ones with blue and red ink)
- Rubber
- Sharpener
- To Do Notebook/Sticky Notes (You can get a little notebook with already printed to do list where you can write all the assignments that you have, so you don’t forget them)
- Highlighters/Markers (I use them to highlight the most important parts of a chapter)
- Rulers (Mostly for Maths)
- Little Scissors
- Glue Stick (Optional)
With those supplies you should have books that you use in classes and laptop if your school allows them.
Clothes
This is my favourite part of back to school, because I LOVE to dress up for school !! And I’m sure that we all have seen those back to school hauls that cost thousands of dollars, but they aren’t really realistic, so here is a list of clothes that you actually need this school year so that you can make lots of different outfits !!
- Blue Jeans (Low-rise, Mid-rise, High-rise, it doesn’t matter, choose the ones that you like the best)
- Black Jeans (These are optional, but if you find the ones that you like, it would be amazing)
- Pants (Black, Brown, Beige, Burgundy, White, Navy, I recommend these colors)
- White Tank Top (If you have strict dress-code, it can be white top with shortsleeves)
- White/Beige Jumper (It can be off the shoulder, or Rory Gilmore style, oversize one…)
- Black/Dark Color Longsleeve shirt (Black is a color easy to style, but it can be any color that you like, darker colors would go the best)
- Grey/BabyPink/Light Color Hoodie (Cozy and cute)
- Sweatpants (They can be matching with hoodie, or a color that is easy to style)
- Short and Longsleeve shirts (Any that you like)
- Jacket (Leather, Winter, Jean, any jacket that you need)
- Shoes (I recommend some cute sneakers because they go with a lot of different styles)
- Jewerly (Very cute and elegant accessory)
- Belt (Optional)
You don’t have to get all of these clothes, but I’m sure that you already have most of them at home, so you can buy what you are missing and stay on the budget.

Emergency Kit
Every girl should have an emergency kit in her school bag, it’s really important, you never know when will you most need it. So this is what you should have in it !!

- Menstrual Products (Pads, Tampons…)
- Deodorant
- Small Perfume
- Plasters (For paper-cuts and wounds)
- Gum
- Hairbrush
- Lipbalm/Lipgloss
- Handsanitizer
- Hair Ties
- Little Sweet Treat (Protein Bar, Chocolate Bar…)
- Money
If you think that you need anything else, add it in your pouch.
Other
Snacks
I like to make my own snacks at home, it’s cheaper and healthier. So here are a few ideas for you:

- Apples and Peanut Butter (It has protein from peanut butter, and is pretty filling, and healthy)
- A Handful Of Different Nuts (Peanuts, Hazelnuts, Almonds, Cashew nuts…)
- Sandwich
- Fruit Salad (Mix different fruits: Strawberries, Blueberries, Bananas, Apples, Raspberries…)
- Homemade Pies (Cheese, Apple, Cherry…)
- Granola Bars (You can make them, it’s easy and fun or buy from grocery store)
- Smoothie (It’s easy to make and there is dozens of different foods that you can put in them)
- Protein Balls (There is a ton of recipes on how to make them, and they are very delicious)
Fun

These are some stuff that I like to have in my backpack so I’m not bored in school constantly, or on my way to and from school.
- Headphones/Earphones (I like to use them while driving or walking to school, in art class, or before test so I can relax with some music)
- Book (I read sometimes on periods where I don’t have to do any school work, and can’t use my phone or talk with my friends)
- Phone (We are allowed to use them only on breaks before the beginning of classes)
- Playing Cards (I have these in my backpack in case that teachers allow us to do what we want when we finish our schoolwork or during lunch, but it’s totally optional)
And this is the end of my Back To School Shopping Guide, I hope that you enjoyed in it and that it was helpful, if you want to write about something specific, Let me know!
